I need to get off the Pennsic war fb page. These people are annoying the hell out of me.

The Mayor posted about what areas were going to be closed or restricted due to all the rain that has been happening. Now folks are upset they will be moved for a year.

Or they are just upset that their pennsic is going to be wet and muddy.

I am going to say something many are thinking... If you want to be dry and clean for those two weeks...STAY HOME!

No one is forcing you to go. Yes, you will be out your pre reg fee, but get a grip. It is a primitive site in an area of the country that has been seeing a lot of rain. Either cope and shut up or stay home and shut up. Either way, how about you quit your bitchin' until you actually see your spot of land? And even after you do.... Suck it up buttercup.

I'm waiting for the chirurgeon stuff to sort itself out. It seems I picked a good year to not go.

I find that more and more of the people I meet at Pennsic are dicks, and that I prefer hanging out with my friends at home, mine or theirs. Fighters blow off shots, people say to me "Do you know who I am?" [To which I reply "I've been working at Pennsics since PW14. The fact that I don't know who you are should tell you that you're not as important as you think you are."]

I'm preferring smaller events where I can hang with friends, not have to deal with some dickhead who only comes to Pennsic each year, because he heard about it as a "great party."

If you camp in the river bed, you are going to have problems - period. Same with those that camp on an island, or in a swamp.

I love you. We should have baldrics the say "Suck it up Buttercup" to wear around the War. I get in on Thursday of Peace Week. Where are you camping? As I will probably need extra hugs from you to make up for the lack od Dicea hugs. :-)
