2105 look back look forwar
Jan. 1st, 2016 03:43 pmTime for the annual look back at what I had on my to-do list for the year and plan next year's
The look forward: 2015 To-Do List
Employment - I like it there. Let's try for a 3 years. Which would be a record lately
Made it 3!!!
Health/Weight- 1. Weight - I have got to get it back in control. I signed up for a FB biggest loser to jump start the need to get it back to where it should be. Hopefully after that i can either continue or maintain
Again, gained and lost the same 30 lbs. this is getting routine
2. Hopefully by the end of January the big issue I have been dealing with health wise will be taken care of or at least much better under control.
Health issue taken care of. Had surgury at the beginning of yhe year and so-far-so-good<
Great Recipe Experiment 2015 - I will continue to try to push myself. I am adjusting to 12 new ones this year
Only got 7 new ones. But two became regular meals
Garage- hopefully after I step down as Signet in April I can get rid of most, if not all of the scroll cases and provide even more room for me to use the garage as a garage.
Scroll cases gone. I get it clean for a whole but then let things lapse. There is more room than before but still not enough to park in it
House-
1. Fix/repair shed and tear out fence and pull up the part that has fallen and starting to get overgrown.
Nope
2. Strip and repaint the hall way.
Nope
3. try to stay on top of the cleaning or at least invite people over once a month to 6 weeks to make sure I keep it reasonable.
Nope
4. continue with the garden
This I did. Good green bean, pepper and cucumber crops, so-so corn and very said tomato outputs
5. Maybe get someone in to look at the oven
Nope
6.Arts and Crafts - I am not going to set any true goal here other than to continue to do something fun at least once a month. I like making things and always forget how much I enjoy making things with my hands.
This I kinda did. I got involved in a couple SCA artisan exchanges that had/has me working on variousprojects
7.A Moment A Day- someone on my FB did a picture a day all last year. I liked the idea and hope to do the same. Just a capture of a moment in my day.
Started but fizzled
Review feels like a year of getting not so much from this list done. Years like this happen
2016 to-do list
1. Employment: stay employed. Let's go for 4
2. Health: I joined a new gym. Initial intake is on 1/4/16. They have a pool. Hopefully i can work on getting fit if not get the weight under some resemblance of control
3. Arts and crafts: continue with the gift exchanges. They are making me happy to make things for others.
4. A moment a day: try again to catalog a moment of each day this year.
5. Ashley Boxes: this past year I sent out two Ashley Advent boxes. I have two Advent Box recipients picked and am thinking of doing one for someone's birthday. I would also like to do random gifts throughout the year
6. House and home:
1. Front hall -someday this will come off the lust
2. Oven/stove: will this be the year to get it looked at?
3. Basement: start trying to get crap up and out. Maybe once a week take a grocery bag down, fill and toss
4. Fence: this needs to be done... Wind storm recently made the side fence start to wobble. Need to consult handy friends and pick a weekend or two.
7. Reading Challenge: i joined a reading challenge with a co-worker. There are 41 categories, and while we agreed we could us a book for multiple categories, I am going to try to not duplicate if at all possible
8. Great recipe experiment: no number. Just going to try to try something new from time to time.
Another year another try.
