Apr. 7th, 2006 06:10 pmYesterday found me in Dollar Tree looking for something for work. while there I spotted something but didn't hav time to examine it. So I went back today after work.
Dollar Tree had stuff to help my diet. Seriously.
I found: pedometers, handweights, jumprope and even a hulla hoop.
I picked up two pedometers, one for me and one for the Boo for our mall walks. And my WW leader said we should aim for 10,000 steps a day so I'm going to wear mine regularly for a while just to see how many I do. Of course I need to figure out how long a step is so I can figure that into miles (mostely for our mall walks).
I picked up three sets of hand weights. Two for the car so that I and Boo have them for our mall walks (if she wants to use hers. I even got her spiffy safety orange ones). They are one pound each. I picked up another set for the house so I can try the arm toning exercises that came in one of the weekly handouts at my meeting.
The jumprope... well it's a dream and if it ends up staying in the package, so I'm out a buck eight.
The hulla hoop. I know. Grown squishy woman with a hulla hoop? But I once heard Chubby Checkers lost something like 60-80 pounds teaching the twist to america. I can try a hulla hoop to try to somewhat tone my mid section.
IT's a step. Right?
And you know, for $13 I'm not really going to complain.
Off to find some dinner.
