Apocalypse Cow by Michael LoganMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
It started in a slaughterhouse. The cows revolted and killed almost everyone. The government came in and killed all the animals. All but one. That one escaped and soon other animals were becoming sex-crazed killing beasts.
All of Scotland and England goes into lockdown to contain this virus that is turning mammals into monsters (don't you dare use the word zombies in the presence of the feds) and it comes down to the survivor of the slaughterhouse, a journalist who doesn't recognize a good opportunity or timing to save her life (literally) and a vegan teenager to try to tell the world what happened.

This book was hands down HYSTERICAL from page one to the end. I found myself laughing almost constantly and can totally understand how this co-won the first ever Terry Pratchett award. I have already gotten one friend to buy it and have informed another that he is being handed this book to read as soon as I'm finished. I honestly am looking forward to starting book 2 tonight.
