A book translated into English
The Hidden Life of Trees: what they feel, how they communicate : discoveries from a secret world by Peter Wohlleben
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
If you had told me even last year that one of the best reads/listens of 2022 for me was a non-fiction book on the "culture" study of trees in "are you high?" look. But here we are.
As someone who studied cultural anthropology, I found this book interesting in the way the author has studied the culture, language, migration and society of trees. And while he focuses mostly on the trees found in the forests of Germany (as that's where he lives and works), he does look at some species of trees elsewhere in the world.
I know it sounds weird, but I seriously recommend this book to others.
