The Carpet Saga continues
Jun. 11th, 2007 01:28 pmThis morning I called the guy for CarpetSmart. He was very accomidating and will be coming at a time convenient to me! Sometime between 5 and 7pm tomorrow. I can do that.
On lunch was the trip back to HD. I walk in and the flooring department is empty. I"m not overly irked at this point, I mean I did show up at lunch time.
I wait around 5 minutes, a bunch of sales associates see me, smile and keep walking past. That irked me. I wandered over to cabinets and someone there, a nice lady named Trish, came over and helped me. I explained my situation and she too was very sympathetic to my situation. It took a bit of computer inputting then a walk up to the refund department where it took them a bit to find someone who could refund me my $38 measurement fee. I think the issue was more that I had paid in cash rather than credit or gift card.
It took almost 40 minutes to get my money back but I did get it.
Apparently the only way to send a letter to Home Depot Corporate Office is via email. Even their customer service number doesn't have an address. So I sent them an email explaining my situation and how they have now lost out of 1400 square feet of flooring that I will be replacing through someone else because of their use of Measure Comp.
I'm still waiting for Mark's manager to call me back. I called and left a message this morning sayign I wished to lodge a complaint against one of his employees but so far nada.
Oh well.
HOpefully this next round of carpet stuff will go smoother and I have a nice birthday present to myself of new carpeting. (man that sounds lame)
