Preping for winter
Nov. 8th, 2009 05:39 pmThis weekend has seemed to have a theme of getting a jump on winter things.
Got some Xmas shopping done Friday night with the girls. Got the makings for my handmade ornament for the year (well, still need the glue)
Yesterday I got the Xmas lights up. (Saw three more neighbors today putting theirs up today).
Today I made up chicken soup and have put several servings in the freezer in preparation of when I get sick and want mom soup but don't feel up to making it.
I had wanted to get plastic up on windows, but this weekend has been so nice that I've had the windows open (which is counter productive for plasticing them). Though I may still put plastic up tonight on sis and guest room windows as those won't be opened any more even if the weather stays nice.
Did not get up into the attic this weekend to rearrange and get to the fabrics up there so I can see what I have that would work for window insulation on the windows in my bedroom (even with plastic it is still a bit chilly up there in winter).
I also figured out a couple crochet gifts I want to do for people for Xmas. Now I just need time. So I suppose I should get to work on something rather than sitting here telling you all what I want to do huh?
