Interview complete
Jan. 19th, 2010 11:36 amGot up early and out the door to get to my interview on time. Place was easy to find.
Had to take a bunch of competency tests for Excel, Word, basic office skills, data entry, typing.
I would have scored much higher on Excel and Word if the tests allowed you to do the little shortcuts you learn to do after 10 years of on the job experience. As it was I got 80% on both Excel and Word, 85% on basic office skills (damn spelling tests brought me down), 100% on Data Entry and 73wpm for Typing.
They seemed really impressed with all of my scores.
My "case worker" is going to forward my information on to two positions that are permanent placements. Both are downtown and fall at or above my required salaries.
My fingers are crossed.
Later today I have an eye exam appointment. But until then I hope to work more on the bunny blanket. I officially hit the 1/3 mark last night.
