Date: 2009-12-16 02:35 pm (UTC)I went for my EMT when I got done with grad school. I had been an Red Cross Advanced First Aid-er before, and it wasn't much of a change to go from AFA to the EMT. It just added better airway management and oxygen, a couple of immobilization devices, and the ambulance time. I joined the ambulance because I realized I needed more than riding with the fire department to keep my skills up.
