Fingers crossed
Aug. 23rd, 2012 02:41 pmAll preliminary paperwork is at the Credit Union for review and approval for my car loan.
Johnny (the family car guy) called me and said he just took in a 2003 GMC Envoy, dark green with chrome wheels, 5 passenger, roof rack, hitch, and with only 37,000 miles on it. I questioned the milage but apparently it had been owned by a snowbird who only drove it half the year and even that was limited (guy is 87 and no longer wants anything that big to drive).
The credit union was iffy on that car as apparently they do not like the cars age + the length of the loan in years to be more than 10. And the car is 9. But she said she would make sure the reviewer/approver knows how low a milage is on it (it only averaged a little over 4,000 miles a year).
There is a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan with 63,000 miles on it that is also a possibility. It too has a roof rack. It is practically the same van that I just lost only newer and half the miles (also half the age).
Again, all depends on the Credit Union and if they are going to finance me and how much. Either vehicle would fall under "SCA friendly". So I'm trying to remain hopeful but not get too hopeful.
