Great Recipe Experiment 2010 #12
Jul. 3rd, 2010 08:09 pmDid not take pictures before we ate it. Sorry.
But I yet again, experimented on the girls today for dinner. I found a recipe that I thought would be good for having when the Minion comes for dinner (seeing how she is vegetarian). Unfortunately schedules did not permit for her to be here for dinner tonight, but Dicea and Kate helped me by being test subjects for:
( Pasta Pizza Pie )
Rating: 3.25
It was good. Filling and certainly works for a vegetarian main dish for those times when such thing is needed.
The girls talked about how to "improve it" with better binder in the crust, more veggies, etc. But I will let them comment if they so choose to say what they thought about it.

May. 2nd, 2010 05:04 pmWith the Minion being vegetarian and
dicea going more and more vegetarian, I'm attempting to bring more *gasp* vegetables into my diet so that I'm not entirely carnivore around them. So I've been trying new soups. First I did the chicken tortilla soup (which can be made without the chicken) and today I tried a new one.

Great Recipe Experiment 2010 #2
Jan. 24th, 2010 11:38 amI woke up this morning wanting muffins. Now, I"ve never made muffins really. Not the cake like goodness. I've made "Muffins" that were really more biscuit than muffin. Even back when I was baking in 4-H I never did muffins. I did coffee cakes and the like instead.
But I figured this morning would be a good a day as any to try.
So I broke out the cookbooks and found one that sounded interesting. And I had all but one ingredient in the house and the one I didn't have I didn't really need.
So thus was GRE 2010 #2 ( Bacon Cheese Muffins )
Rating (out of 5): solid 4

recipe help
Jan. 20th, 2010 09:01 amThis Great Recipe Experiment has me stuck. I just have so many cookbooks with so many things that sound good/interesting that I can't choose.
So I'm going to ask my friends to assist me.
If you are reading this and want to help, can you please pick a number between 5 and 400? These represent pages of cookbooks. From there I will use the numbers to narrow down what I'm going to try.
Thank you.

Jan. 13th, 2010 04:29 pmI have always liked Beef Stroganoff but have never gotten around to trying to make it on my own. I've know it was simple but just never got around to it. So, as I have time on my hands I made it for my late lunch/early dinner today.
